Requiem*

The canopy palled the ambience

Thundering silence dented the whole earth

The studded sky had been a grey awning

Who made the parachute for him?

Kismet favoured him to have lived

Seldom did this boon shower on him!

His passing away did pray to be silent

Nudity he liked not; nor did he corrupt

Departed! he yearned for a heap of sighs

No material ornaments did he bear on bare

Mere brags left unattended on the shore

No wistful remembrance betook him!

On the unremembering casket of memory

The epic you epitomized as a requiem for

You alone on the art of creation!
